Crystals & the Rocks That Glow
The deepest chamber of Treasure Mountain should be blazing green. Lighting it again takes the one mineral fluorescence is literally named after.
What you're training for
In the Glow Pocket — the deepest chamber in the mountain — the light has gone out completely. One mineral in the dark glows under ultraviolet light; find it and the whole pocket comes up green. Train here first; prove it in the simulation.
The science
- Crystals are what atoms build when they stack in a repeating pattern — flat faces and sharp edges that grew, not carved.
- Room and time grow big crystals: slow cooling underground, or open pockets like geodes.
- Fluorescence: some minerals absorb invisible ultraviolet light and give it back as visible glow. The effect is named after fluorite.
- Fluorite glows blue-green to purple under UV; calcite and a handful of others glow too — most minerals don't, which is what makes the hunt fun.
