Buses cost money. Permission slips take weeks. Most districts are down to one field trip a year, if that. So we built the expedition to travel in the other direction — it arrives in your classroom, in a box, or in your gym.
Everything below starts free. Nothing requires a student login, a teacher dashboard, or an IT ticket.

The in-school experience, in detail
We arrive, set up inflatable dig structures and projection across your gym, and run the day in three phases: an in-class lesson where Ari Raider lays out the challenge, the dig itself across six themed stations, then the reveal.
Every child leaves with the complete kit — the map, six Digs, six Gemlings, six real specimens and six trading cards. Not a goody bag. The whole thing, the same kit that retails for $19.99.
Capacity is up to six sessions in a day, 36 students per session — 216 students total.
The booking fee is per day, not per session
Which means the more of the day you fill, the less each student costs:

A full day works out cheaper per child than the retail kit on its own — and that includes the kit.
What's actually in a kit
- Six Digs — one-inch clamshells with the specimen name hidden under a scratch-off, and every one is found empty
- Six real specimens in a six-compartment tray
- Six 3D-printed Gemlings in a blind bag — three standard, one silk, one metallic, one that glows
- Six trading cards, one per Gemling
- A map of the Realm, carrying its hero Gemling
- Dig stick, wet wipe, canvas bag
Students find the specimens, scratch the labels, load the Digs, then match each Gemling to its stone. Whatever they can't match, they trade for — which is why the last stretch of every lesson is a room full of children negotiating.
Why this works when a worksheet doesn't
We tested this with real children, and the surprise is worth telling you: a lot of them skipped the digging entirely and just wanted to keep the containers. So we built the experience around that instinct instead of fighting it.
- The Dig is empty. Opening a container and finding nothing is a better hook than finding a gem. Now there's a problem to solve.
- Six small wins. Every part of the Realm fixed hands back a Dig immediately — rewarded six times, not once at the end.
- Real specimens, real names. Children like knowing that "obsidian" is a word. We don't dumb it down.
- Nobody completes a set alone. Trading is the point.
Common questions
Is the free part really free?
Yes, permanently. 120 Earth Science adventures across rocks and minerals, fossils, weathering and erosion, volcanoes, earthquakes, Earth's layers, natural resources, space, weather, the water cycle and oceans. No logins, no accounts, no trial that expires. It is a core commitment, not a promotion.
Do students need accounts?
No. No student logins, no teacher dashboard, nothing to set up. Open a link and go. This is deliberate — it removes the single biggest barrier to classroom technology.
What grades is this for?
Written for grades 3–5, and used successfully across K–5. Every adventure is built to Earth Science standards and says which ones.
How do we quote a whole grade level?
Grade-level totals are how we quote — a PTA officer thinks in "the whole third grade," so tell us your headcount and we'll do the arithmetic. Class Kits are $15 per student with a 15-student minimum.
Can our PTA fund this?
Yes, and most do. See our PTA page for how a fundraiser can cover a dig day at no cost to the school.
What do we need on the day?
A gym or similar open space and access to power. We bring everything else — inflatables, projection, stations, kits.
