PTAs and PTOs

Buy one, we give one to the school.

That's the whole programme.

A family buys an Excavating Adventures Adventure Kit through your school's link. We send them their kit — and we send an identical one to your school, free.

No selling. No order forms. No money to collect. No boxes in anyone's garage.

How it runs

  1. We give you a link. One link, specific to your school.
  2. You send one email. We'll write it for you if you'd rather.
  3. Families order online. Their kit ships straight to their door.
  4. Your school's kits arrive. One donated kit for every kit sold, shipped to the school in one batch.

That's it. Your volunteers do nothing after the email goes out.

What the school ends up with

Real kits, in real classrooms, at no cost.

Thirty families order, and thirty kits arrive at your school — a full classroom set. Sixty families order, and you've covered two rooms.

Each donated kit is the same $19.99 Adventure Kit the family bought: six Digs with scratch-off labels, six real specimens in a six-compartment tray, six 3D-printed Gemlings in a blind bag, six matching trading cards and the Realm map. Not samples, not seconds. The same thing.

Why families actually buy

Because it isn't wrapping paper or a tub of cookie dough.

It's a real excavation adventure — genuine specimens a child digs out themselves, identifies, and keeps, with characters they'll be trading at recess for weeks. And parents can see exactly where their money went, because half of it is sitting in their child's classroom.

Common questions

How much work is this for our volunteers?

Sending one email. There is nothing to store, nothing to distribute, no money to handle and no forms to chase.

Is there a minimum?

No. If three families order, three kits come to the school. There's no target to hit and nothing to lose by trying.

When do the donated kits arrive?

We ship the school's kits in one batch after the sale window closes, so you get them together rather than in a trickle.

Who decides which classrooms get them?

You do. Most schools give them to a grade level so a whole team can run the same lesson, but it's entirely your call.

Can we run it more than once?

Yes. There are twelve adventures, and specimens are drawn from a much larger set — a school running it again in the spring isn't handing out the same six rocks.

Is it actually educational?

The educational half is the free half. Every online adventure, lesson, worksheet and identification guide that goes with the kit is free on this site — no student logins, no accounts to set up. The kit is the hands-on payoff.

Can our PTA fund an in-school field trip instead?

Yes, and plenty do — $795 for the day plus $15 per student (60-student minimum), paid from the PTA budget. That's a separate thing from the one-for-one programme and doesn't affect it. Details here.

I'm a parent, not on the PTA.

Send them this page. We're happy to walk your PTA through it.

Start it
