One kit. Six real digs. Choose your adventures.

Explore the people, careers and everyday skills that help communities thrive. The Community Heroes Adventure Dig Kit adds hands-on discovery to your learning time.

What's Inside

  • One clear, six-compartment excavation clamshell.
  • Six mystery excavations containing assorted real rocks and minerals.
  • One digging tool.
  • The Community Heroes themed round label.

Every theme contains the same universal assortment of real rocks and minerals. The theme describes your learning journey, not themed physical objects. Specimen assortments vary, and specific stones are not guaranteed. Fossils, historical artifacts, themed physical collectibles, character figures and trading cards are not included.

Choose Your Adventures

Pair your six digs with up to six complete free virtual field trips from our available online library. A kit can accompany any available field trip, regardless of its label. Online field trips are free for everybody, with or without a purchase.

How It Works

  1. Discover: Choose a complete online field trip and explore its learning challenges.
  2. Identify: After the trip, excavate one compartment and examine your real rock or mineral discovery.
  3. Collect: Keep your find and save the remaining digs for more adventures. Use the six digs across six complete trips, or enjoy the kit in another way that suits your group.

The optional physical dig takes place after a complete field trip. It is not required at each digital stop or to finish online play.

Make It a Classroom Field Trip

Teachers and group organizers can explore the Free Dig Kits program for current eligibility, earning and redemption terms. No teacher purchase is required to participate.
