Canyon Chaos
A canyon world carved from the inside out, painted in stripes — and a flood comes through it every hundred years. Six stops, six problems to put right, six Digs to recover. Free, no logins, no accounts. Led by Crumbling, the Realm's hero Adventureling.
Assigning one stop
- Every stop has its own address. Stop 4 is
/pages/canyon-chaos#stop-4— paste it straight into Google Classroom. - Progress is remembered on the device, so a class can do one stop a week and pick up where it left off.
- Each stop runs 10–15 minutes. The finale needs all six done first.
The six stops
1. Pebble RapidsWeathering breaks rock apart where it sits. Erosion carries the broken pieces away. Deposition drops them somewhere new.2. The Painted WallsIn layers that have not been disturbed, the oldest is at the bottom. Each new layer settles on top of the one before it.3. Rockslide RavineSoil is layered. Leaf litter sits on top, then dark topsoil full of roots, then paler subsoil, then bedrock at the bottom.4. The Drifting DunesWind moves a dune grain by grain. Sand bounces up the gentle side, piles at the crest and slides down the steep side, so the whole dune creeps forward.5. The Rust BandsPhysical weathering breaks rock into smaller pieces of the same stuff. Chemical weathering changes what the rock is made of — like iron turning into rust.6. Scorpion HollowRoots grip soil and hold it in place. Bare, loose ground washes away fastest of all.
What the kit adds
